Control Centres

CNS Technology Group provides advanced technology to facilitate the visual replication of data acquired within CCTV, SCADA & DCS systems. The design of such systems takes critical knowledge of the importance of human-machine interaction monitoring the facility’s critical systems. Our designers have that high level of understanding and knowledge needed to develop visual technologies essential for the critical monitoring environment.

SCADA Systems

The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) control system uses computers and user interfaces for superior supervisory management. Generally used in process plants or machine operations, human engagement and alertness are critical. Our systems and technologies build on established standards and bring potential critical issues to the attention of the operator. We solve control room problems by utilizing an integrated control room design approach. Effective integration of SCADA systems and visual systems can enable faster decision-making and situational awareness during both critical and non-critical operational conditions.

CCTV Systems

The growing use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), is continuing to provide valuable information to operators of Traffic Control, Security Operations, and Industrial control environments. Monitoring the video feeds requires larger and more complex video distribution systems. Larger video wall displays and user interfaces are required to facilitate the demand. Some CCTV systems also provide additional monitoring tools such as Thermal Imaging and LIDAR to monitor industrial equipment. Our team can assist with developing integration tools so that the visual monitoring can change and adapt based on alerts, security concerns, or alarm conditions.

DCS Systems

A distributed control system (DCS) is computerized leveraging embedded graphical interfaces and is usually used in processing environments or plants with multiple control loops which require centralized operator oversight and control. As a result, processes can be localized at the site and monitoring can take place remotely. Cameras, visual, auditory, temperature and vibration sensors, wired or wireless, can all be integrated into a single user interface to allow seamless and user-friendly monitoring of more systems, and provide the operator with more telemetry.

Situational Awareness

In today’s fast-paced world, providing information to staff, and external groups is key to keeping in control of day-to-day situations or being ahead of emergencies that might arise. Maintaining security protocols, and providing the right type of information to each group can also be a tricky process.

Our team can design and develop situation awareness solutions across an organization to ensure that information is readily available to the right people. During the design process, we factor in security concerns, the ability to change information as situations develop, and where the diverse locations of viewers are to select the best delivery mechanism.

Questions about Control Centres

Remote Operations

Remote operations are becoming key to reducing costs and improving efficiencies. CNS Technology Group provides solutions to ensure the user has access to remote sources and can interact and obtain information to best do their job.

Multiple sites and processes can be managed from a central operations center, fast and efficient switching of an operator’s workspace to change a single process or multiple processes at a given plant can be achieved within a visual control solution.

Whilst remote operations are often deployed in high-value, security prioritized industries with critical processes, it is important to identify gaps in control room design from the outset. With a concentrated view on both local and remote operations, our team works to optimize the working environment for operators. Ultimately these modern control room design considerations result in enhanced operational performance, improved security, and fewer possibilities for failure.
